EPIPHANY – A God We Can Trust – 1/25 – Pastor April’s Sermon

For the last few weeks we’ve been talking about the world as it existed, long ago, when the early Jews were first beginning to tell their story.   And we’ve talked about how the worldview at the time, was that the nature of life was a circle. As if everything that was had always been […]

EPIPHANY – Floods, Rainbows, and Second Chances – 1/18 – Pastor April’s Sermon

One of my favorite things when reading a great book or watching a well made movie is when the story takes a turn that I didn’t expect. Just at the moment when I think the story is headed in this way, out of no where comes a dramatic turn – that changes everything.   Some […]

EPIPHANY – The New Story of Creation – 1/11- Pastor April’s Sermon

Christmas Eve – Jesus Came for ALL People – Pastor April’s Sermon

Earlier this month, I was driving to Dayton and listening to NPR. That morning, they were telling a story about the company Chanel. 4th Sunday in Advent – THE UNEXPECTED JOURNEY – 12/21 – Pastor April’s Sermon

When was the last moment when someone saw you? I don’t mean saw you as in – Oh, there you are – but saw you – saw in you the beauty and potential and worth and possibility – When was the last time someone saw something in you that you didn’t really know was there? […]

1st Sunday in Advent – WAKE UP! – 11/30 – Pastor April’s Sermon

I remember waking up on the morning of Saturday, March 6, 2010 and realizing that something was not quite right. I was supposed to give a presentation that day at a local conference but something told me – I wasn’t going to be going anywhere.   I wasn’t sick or ill.   I was, […]
