Adult Sunday School—Sun, 9:15am
This winter, we are studying, “Women of the New Testament,” using a book with that title by Gladys Hunt. No Preparation is needed: however, if you wish to read along, copies will be available in the Church Office. The cost is $8, but not required. Led by Linda Bernhard.
The Beginning: The Basics of Christianity—Sun, 9:15am (begins March 4)
This 12-week introductory course will focus on the beliefs and traditions of the Christian faith and is designed to include both adults and teens. We’ll discuss the basics of the Bible, our traditions, and new ways of thinking about God. Led by Mark Reed and April Blaine.
Theology on Tap—Mon, 5:30pm
This group is mostly graduate students and young adults who like to do god-talk over a pint. We meet at The Village Idiot at 1439 N. High St. Each week we begin with a prompt, but wandering, questions, musings, and even rants are welcome. Bring yourself, your heart, and your mind. Led by Lucy Waechter Webb.
Fireside Chat & Prayer Nights—Mon, 7:30pm
Expect an evening of informal conversation and prayer. We’ll light a fire in the fireplace, you can help yourself to a cup of coffee or tea, and we’ll spend some time together sharing stories and pieces of our lives. One of the intentions for this group is especially to bring students and non-students together in a small group setting so that we can continue to make connections and deepen relationships across age groups in this wonderful community. Led by Lucy Waechter Webb.
Bible Study & Worship Planning—Tues, 5:00pm
Read and study the upcoming Scripture for Sunday’s worship. We will discuss the meaning behind the Scripture and make connections to the upcoming worship services. No special knowledge or experience necessary. Bring a bible! Email April to receive communications about this group.
Pilgrims’ Bible Study—Tues, 7:00pm
The Pilgrims are a group of special needs adults who are enthusiastic about life, intense in their beliefs, and loving toward each other and their helpers. The Pilgrims like to pray, study the Bible, color, dance, play UNO, eat snacks, and sing. Current Pilgrims are Nathan, Robert, Doris, Darrell, Tony, Dustin, Lori, Kathleen, Bobby, and Richard. Grayson Atha & Clarence Caudill coordinate the program. If you are interested in being involved, contact Grayson.
Serving from the Heart: A Book Study —Tues, 7:00pm (ends Feb. 28)
This 6-week book study will give participants an opportunity to explore their gifts for service and ministry, discovering ways that God may be calling them! Led by Lori Schiefer.
Sharing Groups —Thursdays, 7a, 12p, or 5:30p (begins March 1)
These 6-week groups are an opportunity to build deeper relationships and share your walk of faith with others in the community. Sign up for the time that works best for you! Led by Grayson Atha.
Faith & Transportation: A Small Group Conversation —Thurs, 7:30pm (ends Feb. 22)
This 4-week small group study is being piloted by our very own Meredith Joy. People of all faiths and spiritual perspectives are welcomed to this conversation on how transportation fits into God’s design for our faith journeys, bodies, communities and places of worship. Because this topic has no precedent, we’ll create as we go and offer another 4–6 week study later this year.
