Children’s Ministry

Infant Nursery—Sundays, beginning at 10:15am

Every Sunday, our beloved children aged 0-4 can choose to play in our newly redesigned nursery.

Children’s Worship – 10:45am

All children and youth are invited to join the pastor in a Children’s Moment during our worship service. Then,
children from Kindergarten to 5th grade participate in a special worship designed just for them.

Sunday School—Sundays, 9:15am

Elementary children meet before church for Sunday school.  Currently, the children are learning tolerance using a curriculum titled Starting Small, published by the Southern Poverty Law Center.  Beginning on Easter of 2012, we are excited to introduce Godly Play, a curriculum which combines Bible stories with “wondering questions” and worship elements to help children develop a deep understanding of God which will last a lifetime.

Youth Enrichment

Throughout the year, the youth gather for a variety of retreats, concerts, and other enlightening events.

Visit Summit on 16th

CYCLING — Turn onto 16th (a one-way westward street) from Indianola Avenue or approach from Pearl Alley, turning left at 16th and making your way around the triangle. At the stop sign, dismount and walk your bicycle up the sidewalk to the rack at the front of the church.

COTA — Take the #2, #18 or #84 COTA bus to North High Street at 17th Avenue. Walk east on 17th to Waldeck, then make a right and an immediate left into the parking lot for the church's rear entrance. From Summit or 4th Streets, take the #4 to 17th and walk west to Waldeck. Turn left and then take the first left into the parking lot.

DRIVING — From North High Street take Lane Avenue east and turn right on Indianola Avenue. Turn right on 16th Avenue and bear right onto Waldeck. The church parking lot is on the right immediately past the stop sign.

From I-71, exit at Hudson Street and go west to Summit Street. Turn left on Summit, right at Lane Avenue and then left at Indianola Avenue. Turn right on 16th Avenue and bear right onto Waldeck. The church parking lot is on the right immediately past the stop sign.

  • MONDAYS @ 7:30pm (ongoing): Fireside Chats in the Hackler Lounge, led by Lucy Waechter Webb.  For adults of all generations!
