Worship that travels.

In this concluding message of the series on King David, we are reminded that David's greatest legacy was not his victories, his psalms, or even his throne — it was his posture of dependence on God and his willingness to return to Him after failure. Like us, David was deeply flawed, yet he is remembered as a man after God's own heart not because he was perfect, but because he was repentant. His famous words, "The Lord is my shepherd," were not written from a place of ease but from seasons of hardship, and they reveal a man who knew he could not navigate life alone.

David's story ultimately points beyond itself to Jesus Christ, the true and perfect Shepherd, who extends mercy to broken people just as David did to Mephibosheth. We are challenged to chase after God wholeheartedly, to practice mercy toward others the way we have received mercy, and to live with integrity even when it is costly. Someday someone will tell our story — not by our job titles or achievements, but by how we loved, forgave, and pointed people to the One who walked with us through every valley.
